Character over Appearance

 Teach Your Daughter *

Parents it is highly vital that you tell your daughter how beautiful she is, so that she want seek outside the family to hear this message.  Even more vital to than praising her appearance, though, is affirming her character.  You should teach your daughter what God values are.  It's the inner heart and character of an individual.

The bible states in Proverbs 31:30,  "Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised."

Remember to compliment your daughter on her inner beauty frequently.  Encourage her to cultivate a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ by being a character model before her.  Most importantly, pray fervently for your daughter daily.  In today's world the temptations are more overt and bold, satan is out to kill, steal and destroy our families.

Teach your daughter to be prepared!

The Ten Commandments

Parents, are you teaching your children about God's ten commandments?  If not, you should be.  I highly recommend it.

God demands total devotion.  The ten commandments govern the relationship between God and those who love Him.  God has given us guidelines so our moral life will be pleasing to Him.  Teach your children holiness doesn't seek to be odd.  Holiness seeks to be like God. Amen.

The 10 Commandments; ~Exodus 20:3-17~

Verse 12-"Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you."

Glory to God!

A Prayer for Growing Children

~2 Peter 3:18~
"But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  To him be glory both now and forever!"  Amen.

~John 14:23~
Jesus replied, "If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching.  My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him."

~Psalm 78:4-5~
"We will not hide them from their children; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, his power, and the wonders he has done.  he decreed statutes for Jacob and established the law in Israel, which he commanded our forefathers to teach their children."

Prayer: Lord, as my child mature, I pray that he/she would come to know You personally and grow in Your grace and knowledge.  May it bring glory to Your name as I train him/her.  Protect and keep my child in Your tender care as he/she learn to make wise decisions on their own.  Guide me as I feed my child Your word and teach Your Christian ways.  Help my child to have a thankful, forgiving and giving heart.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Life Lessons

Like no one else, we as parents can unlock the door to a child's uncommonness.  As parents, we can accelerate or stifle our children's giftedness.  The bible stays in Proverbs 22:6, "train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."

How will we train our children?  Let's take a look at two very important lessons a child will need.

Teach your child LOVE. We must teach our children that the main necessity of men, women and children is love.  Without love, we as God's children are empty.  One of God's greatest gift's is LOVE.  Love never fails.....  (I personally thank God for the gift of love...)  Amen.

*READ: ~(John 13:35, 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, and 1John 4:7:11)~

Teach your child INTEGRITY.  Integrity is regarded as honesty and truthfulness of one's action.  Show them God's way and His integrity.  The way they should go... the right way, the only way, the best way and the safest way.

*READ: ~(John 14:6, Acts 4:12, Matthew 7:13-14 and John 10:4)~

May God continue to Bless each and everyone of you.  Read His word and gain an abundance of wisdom.
