To the woman he said, "I will greatly increase your pains in childbearing; with pain you will give birth to children. Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you."
"Was it a question or a observation?"
MaKayla turns to me and says "Why did God only make women have labor pain" I think "where is this going" knowing MaKayla it could go anywhere.. So I explained my understanding of Gods reasoning was because he created a woman to be nurturing and comforting, caring and committed to raise her children in love, Gods love and to be available always to her family by discerning the need of her strength which is introduced by enduring the strongest pain she will ever experience by giving birth then a pain very similar will extend throughout the remainder of her life to care and protect her children and others.. She then asked "what did God want the men to do since they weren't meant to have babies?" Again with my understanding I responded that God created men to lead us in Faith and provide for His family to endure the beatings of the world as He surrenders himself to his family with providing all that they would need. which is painful as well, it can demand physical, mental and emotional strength to take such a responsibility and still remain pleasing to God..
MaKaylas curiosity doesn't end there as she continues to read through her bible she finds what God asks of us or has designed things to be and compares it to our present life and see were not there..
I went onto explain to her that God made us all very different but with the same image with responsibilities to Him in how we live in Him.. We are born sinners and even at birth we should be introduced to God and His love so that we can grow in Him and invite His spirit to lead us in our decisions through life. But unfortunately we fail to do this and we grow up with our own ideas and end up living out many consequences do to our choices in life.
MaKaylas questions led to wanting to know "if God planned a women to nurture and a man to provide then why is there no man in her life to provide and her mother was made to do both.. I answered this with two truths. First, admitting her Father and I sinned and to please understand when you sin it falls away from God and life plays out against Gods design. God designed me to be a woman and a mother but because of the sins I lived and her father as well we altered the design which left me to be mother and father to her on earth.. She seemed concerned, So I continued to express to her God will not forsake you when you sin, He will always love you but it is up to you as a child of God to talk to God always and ask Him to lead you and forgive you when you have done something against His will. We need to follow what God has asked us to do since the beginning of time. Which is to rely on Him and not our own flesh/ideas and follow His ways. Second truth the one man God promises in our lives that will always provide always protect, always love and never leave us is Jesus Christ and as long as you open our heart and accept Jesus as your Lord an Savior and always turn to His sacrifice as the living promise God made to her, She will know that even if on earth she has no earthly Father, Her heavenly Father is and always will be there for her.. For He was made with pure intentions, He will never sin which will never alter Gods design for His love for her!
Being in the word is not only transforming parents but it is all revealing in truth even to your children.. We were given the choice to share the gospel with the world this includes our children and as we stray or are children who never really knew we will have more to explain not only to God but we are obligated to be truthful throughout all our experiences to our children, if their salvation is truly our motive..
Praying for our children and parents, praying that we all take some time and discern Gods love and begin to live our lives in the fruitful spirit, He has promised us by serving Him only by doing this Satan will not have the opportunity to convince we are missing out on something greater more self centered or that we surely will not die..
Genesis 3:3-5 (NIV)
3 but God did say, 'You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.' "
4 "You will not surely die," the serpent said to the woman. 5 "For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."
