WHEN YOU THOUGHT I WASN'T LOOKING

A message every adult should read because children
are watching you and doing as you do, not as you say.

When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you hang my
first painting on the refrigerator, and I immediately
wanted to paint another one.

When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you feed a
stray cat, and I learned that it was good to be kind
to animals.

When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you make my

favorite cake for me, and I learned that the little
things can be the special things in life.

When you thought I wasn't looking I heard you say a
prayer, and I knew that there is a God I could always
talk to, and I learned to trust in Him.

When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you make a
meal and take it to a friend who was sick, and I
learned that we all have to help take care of each other.

When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you take care
of our house and everyone in it, and I learned we have
to take care of what we are given.

When you thought I wasn't looking I saw how you
handled your responsibilities, even when you didn't
feel good, and I learned that I would have to be
responsible when I grow up.

When you thought I wasn't looking I saw tears come
from your eyes, and I learned that sometimes things
hurt, but it's all right to cry.

When you thought I wasn't looking I saw that you
cared, and I wanted to be everything that I could be.

When you thought I wasn't looking I learned most of
life's lessons that I need to know to be a good and
productive person when I grow up.

When you thought I wasn't looking I looked at you and
wanted to say,'Thanks for all the things I saw when
you thought I wasn't looking'

REMEMBER OUR CHILDREN ARE ALWAYS WATCHING. LET YOUR SO SHINE... Matthew 5:16

Hebrews 4:13

Hebrews 4:13Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

When I read this scripture it helped confirm what I explained to my daughters about the reality of Gods presence this weekend.

When we go on about our day whether it be work or play how often are we really aware of the presence of God in all we do? I know myself even my heart is joined with Christ, the mind is not always there.. There are many days lately where I feel if I am not speaking with God then the voice of evil which tries to take the idea of Him away will succeed! This is a human weakness. but with Gods strength it is overcome.

My oldest daughter asked me Sunday as we studied Matthew together, " Mom when I am praying how will I know God's voice?" "A lot of times when I pray I am not sure He answers me"

This was a really good question one I had struggled with for a very long time and sometimes still do. But as I asked God to lead me I explained to her what I am learning myself when hearing Gods voice for me is an unexplainable feeling when my heart and my mind come together in agreement.. It is not only a voice of some kind but I am learning also God doesn't necessarily have to speak to you in your ear for you to hear Him. You can be reading or you could be having a conversation with another person or pass by the t.v. and something will touch your heart and your mind and that there is God reaching out to you.

When I asked her if that made sense she smiled and said "yes". I explained to my daughter that by just becoming aware of your surroundings can be ways that God is trying to bless you with His presence and we may never know if we do not confess and believe that we are always in Gods presence. It must become as real to us as the air we need to breath especially as a new believer and/or youth. Being aware can make a huge impact on how you respond to Gods attempts to reach out to you..

Not only talking about God or studying or finding the time to pray in silence can be considered being in His presence but coming to the reality that no matter what your doing or who your with or where you are at, "Forever and always will we remain in the presence of God." At no time in life are we alone or without our creator even if appears that way by unanswered prayers or conversation with God leading to the "WHYS" or "HOW COMES" in our lives..

We need to be bold with our children and their relationship with God and the truth of His presence which is everlasting. Not only is His presence everlasting but sharing the truth that we will not always hear a response or be revealed an answer and that we should not be disappointed or allow our hearts to be hardened. We as believers young or old need to be confident in our love for God, which will lead us to know for certain that He will always hand us the right solutions, just by pressing into Him at all times and fully relying on Him to control the situations by believing in your heart that the end result will always end in His good will!. The mind can be a huge challenge in this journey for it is conformed to this world and gripped by the sinful nature we have been born with.

Our hearts is where the Holy Spirit resides and if we confess our love daily and fall in the presence of the Lord the mind can only attempt to trip us but it shall never make us fall away from the Faith God has gifted each of us with!

So parents be sure to indulge in the Lord presence, encourage your children to indulge in Him as well. For our dwelling is within Him now and always....

John 1:1-3, 14

John 1
The Word Became Flesh
1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was with God in the beginning.
3Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made

John 1:14
14The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only,[a] who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

The Truth in Christmas for our Children:

can be read throughout the bible and confirmed in the Gospel..

Matthew 1:22-24

22All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: 23"The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel"—which means, "God with us."

24When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife. 25But he had no union with her until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus.

Luke 2:29-32

29"Sovereign Lord, as you have promised,
you now dismiss your servant in peace.
30For my eyes have seen your salvation,
31which you have prepared in the sight of all people,
32a light for revelation to the Gentiles
and for glory to your people Israel."

The birth of Jesus Christ brings us the celebration of CHRISTmas.. For many generations over have lost the meaning of this life altering day. The birth if Jesus Christ 1 Peter 1:3
[ Praise to God for a Living Hope ] Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

There is song you can hear by Faith Hill, A baby changes everything..the words within itself are eye opening to Gods love.. Can you imagine life without the Birth of Jesus Christ? We were gifted a new life a new creation in Him.. Our God saw we were dead in sin by the law given to Moses. We were torn between sinful nature and wanting to please our Creator. He knew without the son of God we were all destined for Hell. By delivering His son through Mary
Luke 1:35-38
35The angel answered, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called[c] the Son of God. 36Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be barren is in her sixth month. 37For nothing is impossible with God."

38"I am the Lord's servant," Mary answered. "May it be to me as you have said." Then the angel left her.

(Jesus) He gave us Hope of a life away from Sin. On this day is where we should find ourselves loving each gift given to us through the blood of Jesus Christ birth.. We have gotten lost in a world who is excited for fat jolly old man named Santa Clause which in fact has been transformed by men from being a Christian man named St Nicholas who was,

The Historical Saint Nicholas

The historical Saint Nicholas of Myrna was a fourth century bishop in what is now Turkey. Nicholas had the good fortune to be born to wealthy parents, and after their deaths he became famous for using his inheritance to help the poor. One legend tells of Nicholas taking pity on a family whose father could not afford dowry money for his three daughters to wed. Nicholas visited their house in secret, and tossed a bag of gold for each girl through the window.

These three bags of gold have become one of the enduring symbols of the Saint’s charity, represented by both the oranges commonly included in Christmas or St. Nicholas Day celebrations, and the three gold balls which advertise pawn shops.

The historical Saint Nicholas is represented with a full, short white beard, and wearing the red cape of a bishop over white priestly robes. He carries a crosier, or elaborate shepherd’s crook, and wears a red bishop’s mitre, or pointed hat. In Eastern Orthodox iconography, he is often shown holding a book of the Gospels, with Jesus Christ over one shoulder and Theotokos, the Greek name for Mary, Mother of Jesus, over the other.
The appeal of this kind and generous saint is such that he and his story have been celebrated and reinterpreted by generations of Christian cultures all over the globe.

"Today's society has lost the idea of what Christmas was given us for" The Gospel was brought to us on this very day by the birth of a Son. A Son of God who would one day give the ultimate gift of life on the cross. The blood of one man which would be the Holy One that would be shed by man to save man! He would die for our sins. This day was given to us to remember with celebration and lights and representing nothing but love and gifts of truth and glory to God.

Instead we have spoiled our children with a story of a Fat jolly man from a make believe place in the world filled with magic and hand helped of tiny people that will judge us by the presents that are left under a tree or in a stocking of our right and wrongs throughout the year. At what point did God ask us to turn His gift into a fairytale?

I come to you boldly and ask that you approach your children with truth this year. Give them the ultimate gift. Allow them to know who God is and what He did for us by allowing a woman of His creation to give birth to Himself as a man to live as we live and endure what we endure and show Faith in a Sovereign God that no one can see but feel in their hearts by a gift of a spirit that Jesus left behind as He was crucified on the cross.. Gift them with Honor in knowing who their Creator is and how much He loves them.. Gift your children with bibles and stories of what God has done and will continue to do throughout time.. Gift them with Gods love and teach them the truth pertaining Old St. Nick and allow them to know the beauty in giving to others that are hungry and poor or lost on this very day in all parts of the world. Which has been corrupted by satan and hear their cry out to God..

Give your children a gift and introduce them to missions of greatness in God and powerful scriptures that will mold them in Gods love and good will for many generations to come.. To find the true meaning of Christmas is not in department stores going broke trying to please someones selfish desire of a product they surely do not need that we as parents have unfortunately planted in them!

But love your children show them the gifts God has in store for them as they grow in their own relationships with The Father, The Son Jesus Christ and The Holy Spirit. The trinity marked with peace love and unity, something they will never find in a desire of the flesh.. God is real and He gifted us a son of mercy to show us the extreme of mercy and love we should have for others.. Instead of a wish list this year attempt a gift list.. Ask them to make a list of all the gifts they have received from God. Ask them to list what God has done for them and their families. Ask them to list 5 people they would like to help with their Faith in one way or another.. Make your gifts to Jesus this year by sharing the Gospel with your children..

Psalm 72

Psalm 72
Of Solomon.

3 The mountains will bring prosperity to the people,
the hills the fruit of righteousness.

4 He will defend the afflicted among the people
and save the children of the needy;
he will crush the oppressor.

5 He will endure [b] as long as the sun,
as long as the moon, through all generations.

7 In his days the righteous will flourish;
prosperity will abound till the moon is no more.

12 For he will deliver the needy who cry out,
the afflicted who have no one to help.

13 He will take pity on the weak and the needy
and save the needy from death.

14 He will rescue them from oppression and violence,
for precious is their blood in his sight.

16 Let grain abound throughout the land;
on the tops of the hills may it sway.
Let its fruit flourish like Lebanon;
let it thrive like the grass of the field.

17 May his name endure forever;
may it continue as long as the sun.
All nations will be blessed through him,
and they will call him blessed.

18 Praise be to the LORD God, the God of Israel,
who alone does marvelous deeds.

19 Praise be to his glorious name forever;
may the whole earth be filled with his glory.
Amen and Amen.

It seems as if I have chopped the psalm 72 in pieces right? Truth be told I wanted you to share in His promises an Glories. The more I read through prayers for others and live my own life I see the fears/falls of financial suffering, illness, loss, children's misbehavior becoming more and more. Is it because my heart is more open then ever before or is it because people are falling further and further away from our Heavenly Father? I do not know to be honest! But I do know everyday I am made to believe I am extreme in my relationship/faith with God due to the Faith God promises me and I live to return to Him this promise, Hebrews 11
By Faith
1Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. Everyday the devil tries little harder to break me down..

The most wonderful promises for me that I have found are from God and found through others struggles through time. My fears lessen, do they disappear? Not 100% we can thank Satan for that it will be a lifelong attack until my final hour here in this place, but Let me promise you all it will never amount to be anything more than an attack! Satan may not win! I can not be moved!

Romans 8:37
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

It is time, the fear stops today, with His promises..

We are loosing our homes, our families, our incomes and our comfort, but what we are not loosing is our God. Satan can only win if we let go of God and let Satan claim his victory...We have lost all that was material (I can say all because I am one who has lost my home, family,income, and O' YES comfort) all that is made up in the world but not made up of God. He has released His true Gifts, it will not be anything that you hold dear here as you live, we are loved so we may love others and live out GODS WILL.. This means to serve others in love, kindness and joy.. He receives ALL the Glory even in times of despair. He wants us to lean on Him not on our own strength. For if we continue to do this we shall surely fail.. The children of God have been experiencing loss since the beginning, They learned simplicity with Gods love and they learned to trust in Gods ways and those who did not well all you have to do is open the book of truth and you shall find the results/consequence's of separation of God and self reliance!

Children of God, ears that have fallen deaf or have yet to be enlighten understand God gives us the warnings of the fallen

Jeremiah 6:10
To whom can I speak and give warning? Who will listen to me? Their ears are closed so they cannot hear. The word of the LORD is offensive to them; they find no pleasure in it.

The world is not ours it His love (GOSPEL) that we may claim and use to build up His creations of all kind for Good and defeat Satan where he was thrown to for His punishment and stomping grounds.. God can hear us, our children will live beyond us, Leave treasures in their midst, allow them to know God and trust God even in the storm! As Jonah was sent to the ocean God provided the fish to allow Him to realize GODS greatness!
Jonah 2
Jonah's Prayer
1 From inside the fish Jonah prayed to the LORD his God. 2 He said:
"In my distress I called to the LORD,
and he answered me.
From the depths of the grave [a] I called for help,
and you listened to my cry.
3 You hurled me into the deep,
into the very heart of the seas,
and the currents swirled about me;
all your waves and breakers
swept over me.

4 I said, 'I have been banished
from your sight;
yet I will look again
toward your holy temple.'

5 The engulfing waters threatened me, [b]
the deep surrounded me;
seaweed was wrapped around my head.

6 To the roots of the mountains I sank down;
the earth beneath barred me in forever.
But you brought my life up from the pit,
O LORD my God.

7 "When my life was ebbing away,
I remembered you, LORD,
and my prayer rose to you,
to your holy temple.

8 "Those who cling to worthless idols
forfeit the grace that could be theirs.

9 But I, with a song of thanksgiving,
will sacrifice to you.
What I have vowed I will make good.
Salvation comes from the LORD."

10 And the LORD commanded the fish, and it vomited Jonah onto dry land.

God is and always was our provider of all that is good done in Him.. The history was placed at our feet to know Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, Understand who and what is "LORD", we serve our Lord, We rely on our Lord and we trust our Lord and we Praise our Lord and teach our children to honor the same things of our Lord. As unbeliever we reap what we sow just as a believer may reap what is sewn.. Ask yourself what seeds are you sewing? Do they reflect Christ the King or do they reflect the prince of the world?

Galatians 6:7
Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.

Times are tough and may get tougher or may get easier for some, either way don't you believe for a second your God has forsaken you or does not hear you do to worldly circumstances. In time all will be in the greatness of His presence until that truth in moment arrives stay faithful, come to your knees in prayer, surrender your lives let go of your wrongs and allow Jesus to set the stage of true sacrifice. Do not fall short of your repentance and release your hearts to the spirit of Christ and be renewed, refreshed in Jesus name.. Just as He remains Faithful to us even we let him down by falling to our sinful nature and begin to doubt or accuse rather then endure and love!
Philippians 4:6
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

Glory be to God forever and ever!

God Bless you brothers and sisters
I love you
Kristie

Genesis 3:16

Genesis 3:16
To the woman he said, "I will greatly increase your pains in childbearing; with pain you will give birth to children. Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you."

"Was it a question or a observation?"

MaKayla turns to me and says "Why did God only make women have labor pain" I think "where is this going" knowing MaKayla it could go anywhere.. So I explained my understanding of Gods reasoning was because he created a woman to be nurturing and comforting, caring and committed to raise her children in love, Gods love and to be available always to her family by discerning the need of her strength which is introduced by enduring the strongest pain she will ever experience by giving birth then a pain very similar will extend throughout the remainder of her life to care and protect her children and others.. She then asked "what did God want the men to do since they weren't meant to have babies?" Again with my understanding I responded that God created men to lead us in Faith and provide for His family to endure the beatings of the world as He surrenders himself to his family with providing all that they would need. which is painful as well, it can demand physical, mental and emotional strength to take such a responsibility and still remain pleasing to God..

MaKaylas curiosity doesn't end there as she continues to read through her bible she finds what God asks of us or has designed things to be and compares it to our present life and see were not there..

I went onto explain to her that God made us all very different but with the same image with responsibilities to Him in how we live in Him.. We are born sinners and even at birth we should be introduced to God and His love so that we can grow in Him and invite His spirit to lead us in our decisions through life. But unfortunately we fail to do this and we grow up with our own ideas and end up living out many consequences do to our choices in life.

MaKaylas questions led to wanting to know "if God planned a women to nurture and a man to provide then why is there no man in her life to provide and her mother was made to do both.. I answered this with two truths. First, admitting her Father and I sinned and to please understand when you sin it falls away from God and life plays out against Gods design. God designed me to be a woman and a mother but because of the sins I lived and her father as well we altered the design which left me to be mother and father to her on earth.. She seemed concerned, So I continued to express to her God will not forsake you when you sin, He will always love you but it is up to you as a child of God to talk to God always and ask Him to lead you and forgive you when you have done something against His will. We need to follow what God has asked us to do since the beginning of time. Which is to rely on Him and not our own flesh/ideas and follow His ways. Second truth the one man God promises in our lives that will always provide always protect, always love and never leave us is Jesus Christ and as long as you open our heart and accept Jesus as your Lord an Savior and always turn to His sacrifice as the living promise God made to her, She will know that even if on earth she has no earthly Father, Her heavenly Father is and always will be there for her.. For He was made with pure intentions, He will never sin which will never alter Gods design for His love for her!

Being in the word is not only transforming parents but it is all revealing in truth even to your children.. We were given the choice to share the gospel with the world this includes our children and as we stray or are children who never really knew we will have more to explain not only to God but we are obligated to be truthful throughout all our experiences to our children, if their salvation is truly our motive..

Praying for our children and parents, praying that we all take some time and discern Gods love and begin to live our lives in the fruitful spirit, He has promised us by serving Him only by doing this Satan will not have the opportunity to convince we are missing out on something greater more self centered or that we surely will not die..

Genesis 3:3-5 (NIV)
3 but God did say, 'You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.' "

4 "You will not surely die," the serpent said to the woman. 5 "For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."
